Will Ferrell on The Office

Last night Will Ferrell began his four episode arc on The Office, playing Steve Carell’s replacement. Here’s some footage of their first encounter that didn’t make it into the episode.

Michael Scott Meets David Brent

Fans of both the US and UK versions of The Office have long prophesied a meeting between their respective managers, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and David Brent (Ricky Gervais). On the latest The Office, those prophesies came true…

Best Moments From “Night of Too Many Stars”

Autism benefit Night of Too Many Stars, which aired on Comedy Central last week, raised crazy money for autism education. The take included the $2000 a woman payed for Chris Rock to curse out her ex and the $10,0000 Naomi Watts payed for Steve Carell to help her have an orgasm on stage.

According to my sources, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog also gave Penn Gillette an orgasm, but that was in the dressing room.

Here are some of the highlights from the show:

The rest of Night of Too Many Stars airs tonight (9pm ET) with Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Mike Birbiglia, Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, Joel McHale, Sarah Silverman, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and more! The proceeds from the benefit go towards Autism Education.

Law & Order: Special Needs Unit

Talk about meta. It’s Steve Carell playing Michael Scott playing an actor playing a cop in an episode of Law & Order.

Never has acting been more complex, more believable, or more powerful.

Sit back and enjoy this tour de force performance. Mariska Hargitay would be proud.

What “She” Actually Said

Another awesome NBC comedy, The Office also premieres tonight (9pm ET), and it’s a fair bet that Steve Carell will drop his famous catch phrase, “That’s what she said,” at least once. But what is the origin of the phrase that has caught on with douchebags around the country? This video with Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911) will be the best history lesson you’ve had since The Patriot was in theaters.

Mean Cuisine

Before the Emmy-winning The Colbert Report, before the Emmy-winning The Office, before even the Emmy-winning (and Canadian Comedy Awards award-winning) The Daily Show, comedy icons Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell appeared together in this sketch. Whether it’s a commentary on people working jobs that aren’t a good fit or on the disgustingness of food (which is pretty gross when you think about it), we’ll leave that for the academics to decide.

Schmucked Up

Steve Carell and Paul Rudd talk Dinner for Schmucks. Which, btw, is a very, very funny movie.
