Improv for Dummies
If you’ve ever taken an improv comedy class or, worse, have a bunch of friends who did, then you know that the only difference in degree between the nerdiness of Star Wars nerds and improv nerds is that at least Star Wars nerds aren’t acting out their Jedi fantasies in front of real people. Not to judge (I’ve taken improv too) but some great things just beg for judgement. Starring The Upright Citizen’s Brigade co-founder Matt Besser.
DJ Stop N’ Talk
TJ Miller, the funniest comedian you’ve probably heard of by now, just dropped this DJ-themed music video to go with his new album. Next stop: his one hour Comedy Central special airs later this year. Plus, he’ll be using up even more two letter acronyms ending in “J.”
Back to School: An Edukashunal Gallery
The Fall is in full swing now, which means that nearly every school and college in the country has herded their students back to class. But schools aren’t always the pinnacles of joyful learning and scholarship we imagine them to be. Here’s a look at what our country’s greatest resource, our youth, has to look forward to in the 2011-2012 year:

Potential School Shooter Gunned Down By Popular Jock
As the old saying goes, “one nerd’s rights end where everyone else’s begin.”
Meet the Prez
This is a big week for Presidential candidate and gay reversal clinic owner Michele Bachmann. First she got her first ever Newsweek cover! Yay! Which, without double checking, we’re assuming she must be so, so excited about! Then, tonight, she’ll participate in her first Fox News presidential debate! Yay! And finally, this Sunday, she’ll be appearing on NBC’s Meet The Press for the first time as a candidate! Yay! Here’s Rep. Bachmann (aka comedienne Sara Benincasa) prepping for the interview…
Late Night at the Office
You know that thing when you and your co-worker are working late and suddenly the TPS reports get all blurry and it feels like someone turned up the thermostat? One of these people do.
Starring the UCB’s Nate Smith and Sue Galloway.
Most Embarrassing Talent Show Auditions
This has been quite a summer for reality show talent competitions. First, American Idol ended with a ratings bang in May, proving it’s still a juggernaut. Then The Voice gave NBC it’s first hit since their 1970′s Evil Knievel miniseries (aside from a few in the 80′s and 90′s, but still, it’s been a while). Then America’s Got Talent scored its best season yet. And, finally, Glenn Beck got fired from Fox News as part of…
Comedy Repression Therapy
Congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann continues to rise in the polls. Now the frontrunner in Iowa, Bachmann seems like a runaway train that maybe not even the Romneybot can stop. But what’s her deal re: family? Happy marriage for 33 years? Check. Husband is a gay repression therapist obsessed with keeping the gayness of, er, others in the closet? Check. Here’s Jon Stewart with more on Closetgate, followed by a comedy therapy session in which Jerry Seinfeld tries to help him avoid the urge to make fun of this easy target.
Start-Up Guys
If you’ve ever had a social media guru/start-up entrepreneur pitch their services to you, then you know the drill. They razzle dazzle you with complex jargon and promises of groundbreaking cutting edgery until you don’t know which way is up. But if you listen really closely, you realize that for all their hip technobabble, the only thing they’re actually good at is dropping terms like “trend-specific twittersphere aggregationizing” and “cross-platform SEO paradigm shifting” with a straight face. This video basically nails it…
