Comedy Repression Therapy
Congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann continues to rise in the polls. Now the frontrunner in Iowa, Bachmann seems like a runaway train that maybe not even the Romneybot can stop. But what’s her deal re: family? Happy marriage for 33 years? Check. Husband is a gay repression therapist obsessed with keeping the gayness of, er, others in the closet? Check. Here’s Jon Stewart with more on Closetgate, followed by a comedy therapy session in which Jerry Seinfeld tries to help him avoid the urge to make fun of this easy target.
U.S. History According to Bachmann
It’s the 4th of July, so it’s time for an American history lesson! The fact is, Americans have been getting a slow, painful (and creatively “fact checked”) U.S. history lesson from Rep. Michele Bachmann for the past few months. Finally, just in time for the 4th, Jimmy Kimmel has gathered her entire sweeping historical epic into one presentation. So throw out those AP U.S. History text books, kids! This is the real deal!
Cool Dads!!!
Father’s Day is this weekend, and if you haven’t sent off a card or a present yet, just forward this to let him know that he’s a cool dad too. This video is from Mail Order Comedy, the sketch group behind the hilarious new Comedy Central show Workaholics.
Jon Stewart’s Epic NYC Pizza/Trump Rant

If there is one thing New Yorkers take seriously, besides never forgetting to “never forget” and hating on the post-Giuliani Times Square, it’s pizza. Here’s Jon Stewart on Donald Trump’s egregious “pizza summit” with Sarah Palin.
Master Debaters
Last week, the five official candidates for the Republican presidential nomination locked horns at a debate in South Carolina. Unfortunately, no one cared.
Fortunately, this past Saturday the unofficial heavyweight contenders for the GOP nomination met on the field of battle in New Hampshire. Much to Rep. Michele Bachmann‘s confusion, it was not the Lexington and Concord field of battle.
Nevertheless, Bachmann and a host of other all-star potential Republican candidates showed up. Including a couple you may have heard of… such as ex-Gov. Sarah Palin (Tina Fey) and ex-Birther Donald Trump (Darrell Hammond). Vive la Election 2012!
Ali G on the Environment
Growing up, I was never sure if Earth Day was a real holiday or just an educational day posing as a holiday. I remember being in grade school and wondering if Mother Earth knew I hadn’t been recycling. Would I still get presents? Now that I’m older and have watched every episode of Captain Planet, I understand that it’s not about presents and vegan cookies. Just as Ali G learns in this clip, the true meaning of Earth Day is…
Reality Armageddon
In this segment from satirical news show infoMania, correspondent Ben Hoffman visits the first ever convention for reality TV fans, “Reality Rocks Expo.” Because who could resist the chance to meet the first contestant eliminated from Season 1 of FOX’s Bachelorettes in Alaska?
Will Ferrell on The Office
Last night Will Ferrell began his four episode arc on The Office, playing Steve Carell’s replacement. Here’s some footage of their first encounter that didn’t make it into the episode.
The Immaculate Birtherception
Some of the greatest minds of our time, including Donald Trump, Lou Dobbs and Dr. Phil, are determined to prove that the proof of Obama’s Hawaiian birth is a conspiracy so vast that it may implicate proof itself.
In this segment from The Daily Show, Jon Stewart weighs in on some of the big names who’ve been weighing in on the debate. In other words, lots of weighing in. I just hope all this talk of birtherism doesn’t distract us from the important stuff. Like Paris Hilton’s comeback. FYI, it’s gonna be huge.
