Bo is back!

Bo is back! Bo Burnham is the rare exception. An extremely talented and funny musician who put his stuff out there and the right people noticed. Did you catch him in Funny People? He’s been in talks with Judd Apatow and what have you done with your life? Yeah, this kid (and yeah, I can call him a kid. He’s about as old as my younger brother) is going places.

And this video really sticks to his roots. Sure he kind of expands out of his room in his parent’s house, but these effects are basic AfterEffects stuff. Nothing too game changing here.

Keep up the good work Bo. We’re looking forward to it.

Ricky Gervais laughs. A lot.

If you have ever seen a behind the scenes feature with Ricky Gervais or even a simple interview with him, you have heard that man’s laugh. And it has stuck with you ever since. When you try to fall asleep, it’s the last thing you hear. When you’re watching the original “The Office” or “Extras,” you don’t hear it because you’re laughing so hard. But then you go get a slice of pizza and you hear it again.

Basically his laugh is haunting. It’s high pitched, loud, and borderline annoying. But yet it rings so full of humor and pure fun that you want to join in.

So here’s a montage of him laughing from the past 10 years. You’re welcome.

NTSF:SD:SUV proves the more apostrophes, the more balls you kick.

I’m pretty sure that if this were an actual series and it were shown internationally, every country would immediately surrender to us without us even doing anything. They would just say, “Here! Don’t hurt us! No, seriously, take all of our resources!” I’m also fairly certain foreign countries don’t have a sense of humor and have never seen CSI or any drama by CBS.

Which is why I’m also voting Paul Scheer for President.

You know what’s going to happen…

by sam on September 9, 2010. [Smack]

You know what’s going to happen even before you press play. You see a cake. Someone put it on Youtube with the word “fail” in the title. Something bad is going to happen. You don’t know what it will be but you just know something bad is going to happen. It’s only 21 seconds long. You try to brace yourself. You don’t want to laugh. But then it happens.

And it’s hilarious.

Also, the cake is a lie.

The worst of television meets the worst of comics

Fact: The Jersey Shore is one of the worst shows on television. But also pretty hilarious.

Fact: Family Circus is one of the worst comics known to man. Never hilarious.

Fact: Put quotes from Jersey Shore as the quotes from Family Circus and you have surreal brilliance.

Fact: Bill Keane eats puppies.

Fact: I made that last fact up. OR DID I???

Real Science

Once again the tumblr community has taken upon itself to educate the people of the internet.

The subject this time? Science.

Kids you don’t need to go to school any more. All you need to learn about the sciences is this simple little blog.

And people say the American scientific community is faltering. Pfffffft.

Before They Were Funny

Comedy is hard. Did we get that cleared up? Moving on!

It takes years for most comedians to find their voice and many more years to hone that voice into a special blend of comedy that is rightfully their’s. Sure, they’re funny but they aren’t Funny. And luckily for us, some of it was recorded and we get to see the legends not necessarily bomb, but still struggle to find their own.

First up is Seth Rogen. Most obvious thing missing? His gravely voice! Seth was 13 when he recorded this and was still speaking through his nose. He still managed to wow the crowd fairly well if he did do a little too much material on being Jewish. But hey, it was Canada. Jews love it up there.

Next up is an early Adam Sandler before he became the manic-manboy of SNL glory. He seems a little awkward but in that adorable you-want-to-adopt-him-so-your-girlfriend-thinks-you-can-manage-commitment kind of way.

Arizona Governor bombs.

No, she didn’t actually bomb anything literally, but she did totally flub her lines on live TV! Which is almost as painful to watch.

Look, we know politicians serve us nothing but canned speeches and sound bites that their handlers and speech writers have prepared for them. That’s usually ok by me, they want to be able to spread their ideas as widely as possible and not look like an idiot. But you still have to have that stuff memorized! And if you don’t then you have no one to blame but your fifth-grade self who never learned your lines for the school play and totally embarrassed yourself in front of everyone you know.

Just be sure you didn’t also enact some highly divisive anti-immigration laws in your state before bombing on air.

Oh… Whoops. Good luck Governor Brewer!
