Wednesday: THE CONTINUING STORY OF CARLA RHODES

The City’s best (and only) rock’n'roll ventriloquism show is back this Wednesday. The Continuing Story Of Carla Rhodes is a comedic rock’n'roll ventriloquism extravaganza about a young gal’s dream of hitting the big time in New York City. Carla, who was dubbed one of “Ten New Comedians Funny People Find Funny” by New York Magazine, brings her adventure to life with the help of her sidekicks and in-house band The Extravaganzas. If you’ve never seen Carla and her dummies (which include Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and 1920′s gentleman Cecile Sinclaire) it’s not only great comedy, it’s also the only thing keeping ventriloquism cool in the Age of Jeff Dunham.

Details: Wednesday, October 5th at 10pm @ Bowery Poetry Club, 308 Bowery & 1st St.
