Williamsburg-based comedic rabble-rouser Leo Martin, whose cult following has been steadily growing all year, debuts a new variety show this Saturday with UCB regular Amber Nelson.

Speaking of cult followings, the show’s title, Middle Earth, is inspired by a very real conspiracy theory whose adherents believe that mutant people live in the center of the Earth. The show will be loosely themed around crazy theories, beliefs and cults everywhere, from Scientology to the Birther Movement.

The FREE show is Saturday at Midnight at The Creek and the Cave (10-93 Jackson Ave. at 49th Ave.). For the premiere show, Leo and Amber welcome:

MIDDLE EARTH

Also, if you’re planning to make the trek to Long Island City for Middle Earth, you might as well stick around for another great show at 9pm Sunday (only a 21 hour delay- almost exactly enough time for a crossword puzzle!). Join Meatsteak for Meatsteak: Prime Cuts as the sketch/standup group reminisces about their decades in the comedic arts and drop their 37-disc box set.

Meatsteak is: Sean O’Connor, Nick Maritato, Danny Solomon, Robert Dean and Neal Stastny. Featuring standup from Julian McCullough (Comedy Central, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon)
