Successful Alcoholics with TJ Miller

Breakout comedy star TJ Miller is having a big year. He starred in the studio feature Yogi Bear alongside Dan Aykroyd. He’s delivered scene stealing guest spots on some of TV’s top sitcoms. And now, this Saturday, May 21st, he’s recording his first hour special for Comedy Central, No Real Reason, at the Boulder Theater. First, however, check out Successful Alcoholics, a short film written by, produced by and starring TJ Miller alongside Lizzy Caplan (star of the late, great Party Down). About a co-depedent, hard-boozing couple, the 25-minute film also features an all-star supporting cast including Whitney Cummings, Nick Kroll, Nick Thune and Arrested Development’s Tony Hale. In recent years, eternally 15-year old pop star Justin Bieber and Twilight vampire/werewolf Robert Lautnerson have dominated the hearts and bedroom posters of tweenage girls. But who were tweens way back in 1989 pining for? Cory Haim of “the two Corys” fame, of course. Here is a video Haim made upon leaving his first rehab stint to ensure his middle school fan base that he was still ready to be their heartthrob throughout the 1990′s, surely.
