Grease 3: Threase

In 1978, the world was introduced to the movie musical phenomenon Grease and to one of the future leading Scientological theologians since Xenu.
In 1982, the world was introduced to a 2nd helping, and, in the place of the Scientologist, introduced to the man who would one day play Rex Manning in Empire Records.
But they say the third time is the charm, and now the 21st century has been introduced to Grease 3: Threase, a tale of two gangs, the T-Boners and the Pink Labias, and their gritty struggle to prepare for an epic high school talent show.
If you thought Grease and Grease 2 took the teen musical to a whole new level, just wait until you see what level Grease 3: Threase takes it to. And if you guessed level three, then times that by three times three.
Grease 3: Threase is a hilarious new musical comedy currently playing at The PIT on 123 E. 24th St. (b/t Park & Lex) in NYC. The next performance is TONIGHT, Friday, Feb. 25th at 8pm. You can purchase tickets here. (Note: Buying tickets in advance advised, performance may sell out).
The rave-reviewed production stars such comedy and theater veterans as Livia Scott, John Phillips, Amy Heidt, Alex Goldberg, Chris O’Connor and Jaime Hayes. It was written by Shayna Ferm and Katherine Bryant Flaherty and directed by Tom Wojtunik.
Grease 3 has been called, “totally random and completely hilarious,” by Show Business Weekly and The Jester Journal wrote that, “the dialogue is snappy and the jokes quite dirty…it is a sharp comedy piece!” Grease 3 has been nominated for Best Musical at the prestigious ECNY comedy awards.
And now, to get you in the mood, here is a “classic” number from Grease 2, starring Rex Manning:
